Indian Style Baked Chicken

Sometimes we don't like any oily food. Baking is then the best option for that time. This time I have baked chicken with Indian spices so that you get the Indian spicy flavor but yet with very less oil. Even when you are in diet or you need some healthy food, this chicken is perfect for you. There is no need to compromise taste to get a healthy food. It can be served as a healthy starter/ snacks.Even sometimes I used to have it with rice & dal also.

Preparation Time : 5 minutes

Cook Time       30 minutes

Serves            2 people

Ingredients:

  • Boneless Chicken Breast: 2 pieces
  • Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger Paste: 1/2 tablespoon
  • Green Chilli Paste: 1/2 tablespoon
  • Hung Curd: 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking Oil(olive oil/any veg oil as per your choice): 1 teaspoon

How to Make:

  1. First wash the chicken well. Then pat dry the chicken with kitchen tissue paper.
  2. Then marinate the chicken with lemon juice and pinch of salt. Leave it for 30 minutes.
  3. Take all masala(spices), salt and oil in a mixing bowl. Add hung curd, garlic paste, ginger paste and green chilli paste. Now mix well. This is the second marination.
  4. Marinate the chicken with this masala mix.
  5. Now keep it in refrigerator for 2 hour.
  6. After that take a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Or you can grease the tray with little oil.
  7. Place the marinated chicken on it. Bake it for 25-30 minutes at 180° C.
  8. Then take out the tray from oven and enjoy it hot.
  9. Here I have garnish with chopped coriander leaves. You can do as per your choice or may skip this step.

My Tip:

If You don't have oven, then you can do it in non-stick pan on gas top. Brush little oil on pan and then fry it at low flame covering with a lid.It will also be a super tasty chicken.
