Bhoger khichuri means Khichri for offering to God. This is a traditional Bengali recipe. In Bengal, there are so many puja (E.g. Durga puja, Kali puja, Lakshmi puja, Saraswati puja etc). In all puja, there is a must made Bhog thali (offering to God)  which comes with a special khichuri with some simple fried vegetable and Labra sabji (sometimes Niramish Alu'r dum ) with Bengali tomato chutney . This Khichuri has a very special taste. Today I am sharing with you this recipe with some tips & tricks. Hope you enjoy it.. Lets, go to the recipe. Niramish Alu'r Dum is a traditional Bengali Alu'r Dum recipe without onion and garlic. Niramish means vegetarian with no onion & garlic. This is also called "Bhoger Alu'r Dum" that means this can be used for offering to God. This Alu'r dum mainly appear in two famous traditional Bengali combo, one is Luchi with Alu'r dum & Chola'r dal  ; another one is Bhoger Khichuri /Bhuna Khichuri with Alu'r Dum. Bengali Bhaja Masala | Bengali Roasted Spice Mix for Ghugni, Chat , khichuri, Curry etc

Bhaja masala is a traditional Bengali spice mix which is used in many curries like Ghugni, Cholar dal , alur dom, Labra, kumror chokka etc, Bhoger Khichuri, Chumur, phuchka, chat, alu kabli, doi bora, etc. Its made with all very common Indian spices. You don't need more time to make it. Just roast and grind, you can store it and use when required. Lets go to the recipe. Cholar'r dal (Chana dal) is traditional Bengali preparation where main ingredient is split Bengal gram. Its a little sweet lentil preparation with raisin, fried coconut and fried potato. Cholar'r dal is a complete vegetarian recipe (No Onion No Garlic) . So, you can serve it in any veg day. Sambar, also spelled sambhar or sambaar is a very famous south Indian  Split Pigeon Pea/Toor dal base vegetable preparation which is served with Dosa, Idli, Vada, Rice, Upma etc. Sambar can be made with any single vegetable or mixed vegetables. Its a one kind of lentil based vegetable stew where  tamarind water & curry leaves are the two main key ingredients.
