Potato Peas Dill Salad






It's a healthy version of potato salad where I am not using any mayonnaise or cream. Now a days, most of the people is very health conscious. They don't want high calorie food all the time. Here you will get the taste of potato salad but no need to consume high calorie which normally come from mayonnaise and cream. Dill is very good for health as it contain many vitamins. Green peas is also a beneficial vegetable for our health. For the potato lover, it can be a great salad option .

Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Cook Time       20 minutes

Serves            4 people

Ingredients:

  • Green peas(boiled)- 1 cup
  • Peeled Potato(boiled)- 4 large
  • For dressing,
    • Honey- 2 tablespoon
    • Garlic(peeled)- 4 cloves
    • Dill leaves(fresh)-1/3 bunch
    • Hung curd- 3/4 cup
    • Lemon- 1 whole
    • Extra virgin olive oil- 1 tablespoon
    • Mustard powder1 teaspoon
    • Black pepper Powder(course)1 teaspoon
    • Chilli flakes1 teaspoon
    • Salt to taste

How to Make:

  1. Cut the potato into small pieces. Keep aside.
  2. Chop the garlic finely. 
  3. Chop the  washed dill leaves finely.
  4. Grate the lemon skin to out the zest in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add all ingredients for dressing in it.
  6. Squeeze the lemon but make sure no seeds should go in.
  7. Give a good mix. Our dressing is ready.
  8. Then add boiled potato and peas.
  9. Mix everything well.
  10. Transfer into a serving bowl.
  11. Garnish with some dill leaves from top.

My Tip: 

  • Potato and peas should be cooked until tender but still have a firm bite.
  • I had boiled it in salt water.
