Aam Pora Sharbat is a traditional Bengali Raw mango cooler. In this recipe, roasted raw mango is used which includes an awesome flavour in this cooler. It is a perfect low calorie healthy summer drink to cool your body. In any Bengali Party, this is one of the must traditional welcome drink. Being a Bengali, Today I am going to share the authentic Bengali cooler with you.
Lets go to the recipe.

Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Cook Time       15 minutes

Serves            2~3 people

Ingredients:

  • Raw Mango- 2 Medium
  • Sugar- 1/3 cup
  • Black salt- 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Chat Masala- 1 teaspoon + Little for serving(1 generous pinch per serving)
  • Paprika powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ice cube- 8~10 pieces + Some for serving
  • Raw mango slice for garnishing(optional)

How to Make:

  1. Place the mango on flame to roast well. Keep the flame in medium. It will take almost 12-15 minutes.
  2. When one side is done, flip the mango to roast the other side. In this way, you have to roast the mango completely until its outer layer gets brunt.
  3. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool down.
  4. Then peel the outer layer and wash with water.
  5. Take out the pulp and transfer into a blender jar.
  6. Add Sugar, salt and all spices.
  7. Pour little water.
  8. Add ice cubes and blend into a smooth paste.
  9. Then add more cold water as per requirement.
  10. Adjust the salt.
  11. Blend it again for few seconds.
  12. Now take ice cubes in serving glass.
  13. Add pinch of chat masala in each glass.
  14. Pour the sharbat and give a good mix before serving.
  15. Enjoy it chilled.

My Tip:

  • Raw mango should be brunt properly otherwise you can't get smooth & soft pulp.
  • You can adjust ice cube, sugar, salt and water as per taste. With this quantity, you can make 2-3 serving.
  • If you want to store it for future, then don't add water. Keep the thick blended mango pulp in fridge. When you need, just add water. Adjust the salt and serve it.
