Chicken Steak


Chicken steak is very famous continental food which is now very popular in all over the world. If you make this steak easily at home, nothing can better than that. Steak can be made in many different ways. Its don't have any particular recipe. Today I am going to share one of my favourite chicken steak recipe which I usually cook in my kitchen. It can be served with any salads or french fries or mashed potato or grilled/steamed veggies. I personally prefer mashed potatoes with it and today I have served it with my steak.
Lets go to the recipe. 

Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Cook Time       15 minutes

Serves            1-2 people 

Ingredients:

  • Chicken(breast)- 2 flat pieces
  • Garlic paste- 2 teaspoon
  • Ginger paste- 1 teaspoon
  • Soya sauce- 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce- 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil- 1 tablespoon + extra for greasing the pan
  • Lemon juice- 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Dried thyme- 1 teaspoon
  • Dried Rosemary- 1 teaspoon
  • Dried Oregano- 1 teaspoon
  • Chilli flakes- 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper(crushed)- 1 teaspoon
  • Dijon Mustard Sauce- 1 teaspoon
  • Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
  • Butter- 60 gram

How to Make:

  1. Pat dry the chicken with kitchen tissue so that no water remains in it.
  2. Now prick the chicken with a fork from both sides. It will help to infuse the flavour into the chicken. Keep aside.
  3. Then take a bowl. 
  4. Take all other ingredients one by one except the butter.
  5. Give it a good mix. Your marinade is ready.
  6. Take chicken into the marinade and coat well.
  7. Wrap the bowl and keep it in fridge for atleast 75 minutes.
  8. Then take a pan(preferably grilled pan). Allow to heat up.
  9. Grease it with little olive oil.
  10. Then place the both chicken steak in it. Keep the leftover marinade for further use.
  11. Put 20 gram butter now in pan.
  12. Allow to cook for 7 minutes.
  13. Then just flip each of the chicken to cook from other side.
  14. Again put 40 gram(leftover) butter in the pan. Cooking should be in medium heat.
  15. Wait for 7 minutes.
  16. Then you can see the chicken is cooked from both side and it turn into a nice golden colour.
  17. Take out the chicken into a plate.
  18. Now add leftover marinade into the pan where chicken releases its juice.
  19. Cook for a minute and your sauce is ready.
  20. Drizzle it on the steak on top.

My Tip: 

  • When any steak will be cooked, no  water can be added. 
  • You should not cover the pan during cooking .
  • For this recipe, cooking should be in medium heat .
  • Don't skip the step for resting the marinated chicken. Long time marination give you more juicy flavourful chicken.
  • If you want you can reduce the amount of butter but to make the taste perfect you should need this much of butter.
